Setup Console

Setup console deals with basic connections to Remedy and includes three separate sections, ARS  Server, System, and License.

ARS Server

The ARS Server tab holds all Remedy connection information.

Buttons at the bottom allow you to update settings. TCP port should be 0 if there is nothing set. Web User ID needs to have Remedy Administrator privileges and a write license.

The System tab holds logging and SSO settings.

Configurator Username is the default username from the install (admin|admin). This should be changed to a corporate standard as soon as possible. 

The other possible log levels are: Info (possible Production setting), Debug (default and possible development setting), and Trace (provides the most information). Logs are available from the Logs console. You can also set the size define a properties file for the logs.

SSO settings can be added to this tab. They vary by application and may not need to use these fields.

The Legacy Task Service is the task engine from version 4 of Kinetic Request. If needed you can run both task services. Selecting Enabled reveals to additional fields.

Sleep Delay is number of seconds that the task engine waits between checks to Remedy. and the task query is the Remedy query used to check for triggers to process against the KS_RQT_Task form in Remedy.

The last tab is the Licensing tab.

This tab shows your applied licenses for Kinetic Request and Kinetic Survey. Expiration type defines if they are Unrestricted (non-expiring) or if they have an expiration date. Licenses are specific to Remedy server. If you change Remedy servers you need to contact Kinetic Support for a new license.
