Creating a Date Question
By default, a Date question displays three fields, year, month, and day. You also have the option of displaying a date widget, and the actual date value. When a date question is submitted by a user, Kinetic Request formats the date in a standard ISO format – YYYY-MM-DD, even though the date displayed on the form is Day Name, Month Name Day, Year (Friday, October 1, 2010). Date questions always default to the current date.
Example of blank Date question:
Text size is the width of the date display field if selected - required
Answer Style is a drop-down list of the different languages for names of the months - required
Allow Blank sets the initial value of the answer to null
Show Calendar lets you display a calendar widget that lets you see a month veiw and pick your day.
Hide Date Fields is available if you select Show Calendar. This will hide the year, month and day fields.
Display Question value shows the complete date in an easily readable format (Tuesday, June 3, 2012)
Answer Mapping allows you to set the value of you Date question to an attribute field of the request.
Transient means that the answer will not be saved to the database when the page is submitted. This is used for work or temporary fields.
