Activity Two - Create New Service Item

Create a new service item within your new service catalog.  This service item will be used for upcoming activities.

Steps

1.     Open the Service Catalog Console

2.     Click the New button, and the New Service Item dialog opens

3.     Personalize it with the following information:

a.     Type

b.     Service Item Name

c.     Service Item Description

d.     Click Save

Experiment with CSS on the Style tab.

What's Next

 

Each service item can have its own permissions for Visible and Management group.  This is valuable if you want to have a specific group managing the service items that is different, or a subset of the customers completing the requests.

Stay in New status for as long as possible.

Check for company or organization specific style guidelines.
