Filehub Cloud Adapter

Overview

The Filehub Cloud Adapter provides the functionality necessary for Kinetic Filehub to read and write files into common cloud services such as Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, and Openstack Swift.  This adapter utilizes the jCloud http://jclouds.apache.org/ library to abstract the interactions with supported cloud solutions.

The source code is available from the KineticComunity github organization. 

Installation

The kinetic-filehub-adapter-cloud.jar is included in Kinetic Filehub v1.0.0 and above.

Setup

Amazon S3

Name Description
Access Key The access key id of the security credentials used to access Amazon S3.
Bucket The name of the Amazon S3 bucket that will be used by this filestore.
Secret Access Key The access key secret of the security credentials used to access Amazon S3.
Region A region that specifies where the S3 bucket is located.
Root Folder A folder inside the bucket that serves as the root of where files will be stored.

Microsoft Azure

Name Value
Container The name of the Microsoft Azure container that will be used by this filestore.
Storage Account Key The secret key of the storage account used to access Microsoft Azure.
Storage Account Name The name of the storage account used to access Microsoft Azure.

Openstack Swift

Name Value
Container The name of the Openstack Swift container that will be used by this filestore.
Credential The secret credentials of the identity used to access Openstack Swift.
Identity The name of the identity used to access Openstack Swift.
